Chemicals

What's the difference between open-cell and closed-cell spray foam chemicals?+

Closed-cell runs roughly 2.0 lb/ft³ density, cures rigid with vapor-retarder properties, and suits exterior walls and roofing. Open-cell runs closer to 0.5 lb/ft³, expands more per set, and suits interior cavity walls and sound-deadening applications.

How long do chemical drums stay good in storage?+

Unopened drums stored within spec (60–90°F) typically hold performance for about 6 months from the manufacture date printed on the drum. Rotate stock first-in-first-out.

Can I mix A-side or B-side chemicals from different manufacturers?+

No — A-side and B-side components are formulated as matched pairs. Mixing across manufacturers or product lines produces unpredictable ratio and cure results.

Do you carry winter-grade chemical formulations?+

Yes — our Polar-Seal winter-grade closed-cell line is catalyzed for substrate and ambient temperatures down to 15°F, for late-season and northern jobsite conditions.

What documentation ships with a chemical order?+

Every chemical order includes current Safety Data Sheets and lot-traceable documentation for code inspection and compliance records.

Rigs & Equipment

What's the difference between a trailer rig and a slide-in unit?+

An enclosed trailer rig houses the full proportioner, hose, and generator setup and tows independently of your truck. A slide-in unit is a compact proportioner package that drops into a pickup bed — leaner, and well suited to smaller jobs or as a second rig.

Should I buy a new or refurbished rig?+

New rigs carry full manufacturer warranty and no unknown history. Refurbished rigs can cut 30–40% off the entry price after passing our inspection process. Many contractors buy new for their primary rig and add refurbished for a second unit.

What output size proportioner do I need?+

Most two-person residential crews are well served by 15–20 lbs/minute. Commercial-volume operations doing roofing and warehouse work typically move up to 25+ lbs/minute.

Do refurbished rigs come with any warranty?+

Yes — every refurbished rig ships with a 30-day mechanical warranty covering the proportioner pump, drive motor, and heater system.

Can I trade in my current rig?+

Trade-ins are evaluated case by case based on condition and configuration. Reach out through the contact page with your rig's make, model, and hour count.

Parts, PPE & Ordering

How fast do parts orders ship?+

In-stock parts ship same or next business day. Special-order parts may take longer — your order confirmation includes an estimated ship date.

Do you sell rebuild kits by gun model?+

Yes — mix chamber and o-ring rebuild kits are pre-kitted by specific gun and proportioner model so you're not guessing at part compatibility.

What PPE is standard for spray foam applicators?+

Supplied-air respirator systems with full-face hoods are the industry standard for anyone actively spraying, along with chemical-splash-rated disposable coveralls, gloves, and eye protection for a full barrier.

Is there a minimum order quantity?+

Single chemical sets and individual parts are available for smaller jobs. Contractor pricing tiers apply at higher volume — see the contractor pricing page for tier breakpoints.

Can I open a standing recurring order for consumable parts?+

Yes — active contractor accounts can set up recurring orders for high-turnover parts like mix chambers and filters.

Financing

Can a new business qualify for equipment financing?+

Newer businesses can qualify, though terms and down payment requirements typically differ from an established shop with revenue history. Submit an inquiry for a specific assessment.

Is financing available on refurbished rigs?+

Yes — financing is available on both new and inspected-refurbished rigs, though specific terms may vary based on equipment age and condition.

How long does financing approval take?+

Timelines vary by lender and application completeness, but most inquiries receive an initial response within a few business days.

What information do I need to apply for financing?+

Basic business information, your typical job volume, and the rig configuration you're considering. Submit through the quote form to get started.

Shipping & Logistics

How long does chemical freight take to arrive?+

Standard LTL freight for chemical pallets typically arrives within 3–7 business days depending on distance, with temperature-managed transit during extreme weather months.

Do you ship to rural or remote areas?+

In most cases, yes — reach out before ordering if you're outside our standard metro LTL delivery zone so we can confirm delivery options and transit time.

How are rigs delivered?+

Rig deliveries are coordinated directly with you, typically via flatbed or enclosed trailer transport — no loading dock required.

Is there a free-freight threshold?+

Free-freight thresholds apply at multi-pallet order volumes. Contact us or check the contractor pricing page for current thresholds.

Can I pick up an order instead of having it shipped?+

Will-call pickup may be available depending on order type and location — ask through the contact page when placing your order.
